Harper has a broken arm! I was shocked when iI found out,but she is getting by well.She was able to take the T-CAPS and do a poster contest with her right arm (and she’s left handed)! I hope Harper gets better and I pray for her every night.

It’s time to celebrate! We just finished T-CAPS.I was a little worried that I wouldn’t do good,but it was easier than the tests we took in class.Now that T-CAPS are over we get to learn about Builtmore and the Titanic in Social Studies,do our end of the year project in Science,and read Tuck Everlasting in Reading.That makes me happy!

It was no longer 2012.I was no longer 10.I wasn’t supposed to be here,not now,but I couldn’t control it.
The last thing I remembered,I was falling through the ice while iceskating with friends at Cherokee Lake and medics were standing over me,trying to save me.
I woke up to an alarm clock.I popped up out of the covers,and gasped.My room did not have blue walls.My room did not have wooden floors.I was not more than four feet tall,or at least I didn’t in 2012.
I turned off my alarm clock and I sprinted to the bathroom mirror going fast,since I had long legs,I did not like what I saw in the mirror.I saw a tan woman with hazelnut colored hair,blue eyes,slim face,and a dash of freckles.It was me about 30 years old!
I thought this couldn’t be possible,so I found my way to the calender,located on the fridge,and it said January 11,2032,which meant that I was right about being 30 years old.Also it said ”OPERATE ON LEG”in big bold letters.My eyes poppecd out!I had always wanted to be a doctor,but I hadn’t even gone to college!
I found a bottle of water in the fridge to calm myself down and sat at the kitchen table.Located in the middle of the table,was an I phone 8.I turned it on and it said ”1 new voicemail”.I pressed the button to listen to it.
All I heard was,”This is Dr.Toeley.Where are you?We’re ready to operate.Hurry!”I pressed the botton that said ”Call Back”.I heard a ,”Ring!Ring!Ring!”,then a guy answered the phone and said,”Where are you?”I coughed loudly into the phone and said in a sickly voice,”I’m sorry,I have the flu.I won’t be able to make it today or the rest of the week,”
He finally said,”I’ll find a replacement.”and hung up.
Now it was time to find out where I was.I went to the window,and looked out the window and there was a big sign that said in big bold letters “WELCOME TO NYC”.I had a big grin on my face.I always wanted to go to New York City.
Te next thing I knew there wwas a knock at the door.I unlocked the door and let the woman in.It was a familiar face,one I’ve seen in 2012. It was my best friend Abby!Even though I had only been in 2032 an hour,I was homesick,so I ran up to her and gave her a big bear hug.
Abby looked at me like I had just asked for my name.Then she said as if she were annoyed,”Chill.I’m here to pick up the rent.”
“`Rent?”I asked,astonished that my best friend didn’t say “Hi”.Maybe people do change.
“Yeah,you owe rent,$1000 for this month and you need to pay me,”she growled furiously.
“I-I don’t ha-have it I’ll pay you tomorrow,”I stuttered.
“You better”She spat,and walked out the door,slamming it shut.
“Great,”I thought.Now my BFF is snotty and only cares about money.I’m an untrained doctor,and I don’t know how to go back to 2012.I don’t even knoww how I got here!Right when I thought it was as bad as it could get, the mail came through the slot.I grabbed the letters ,Ripped the three leters open and started looking at them.One was about an overdue bill and that I owed a fine.One was about paying insurance,and one was about a lost library book. Money,money ,money.All had to do with money.
I don’t even have a job I know how to do.How can I make money?The first thing that accured to me was stealing.10 seconds after that,I realized I was going crazy.”Stealing is not for you”I reminded myself.”What am I supposed to do kill myself?”I thought jokingly,but then I thought,”That’s not a bad idea,”
I walked down to the lobby and opened the heavy doors.My plan was to walk infront of a car and perish.Before I walked into the street,I told myself,”You’re going to be okay.”I felt a trickle of tears fall down my face.As soon as I saw a car coming,I ran into the road whispering,”Okay!Okay!Okay!” over and over again.
The car came so fast,I couldn’t even prepare myself for the smack that felt like a billion needles intering my flesh.I fell.My heart wasn’t beating in 2032,but it was in 2012.
I woke up to a doctor.The same doctor at Cherokee Lake.I realized that I was probably dead in 2032,but I survived the fall through the ice,that caused my amagination to stir up.
The medics were able to get my heart going again.At first I thought I had reached Heaven,but I didn’t go that far.I only reached 2012.I still don’t know why I had that dream,but I’m glad I did.
I know what it’s like to be 30,none of my friends can say that.I also learned that I was going to be a doctor,but if you get a chance to go from 10 to 330,pass it by.

Today was the schoolwide geography bee.I got out on the 4th round,but my brother,Patrick,got second place right after River,a seventh grader.I was realyscared because I was doing it infront of 5th,6th,7th,and 8th graders.I was sad when I lost ,but  I was happy I got to participate.

   Playing the trumpet is a big challange.Alot of people think that playing it is easy because it only has three keys ,but it is’t any easier than playing an instrument that has 15 keys Since we have only 3 keys 1combonation can be 5 notes,which makes it harder to remember what’s what.You also have a problem with how tight you keep your lips.If you make you’r lips tight and blow fast air you will get a high pitched sound,but if your lips are loose and you blow slow air you will get a low pitched sound.There are also advantages such as trumpets are trebel cleff ,which is easier to play than bass cleff.Also, to assemble the trumpet you only have to connect two parts ,the mouthpiece and the body of the trumpet,which is alot easier than assembaling a saxaphone or a flute.I hope one day you consider playing the trumpet because it sounds amazing and is a great experience.

Today we had 4-H at school,and today was the class speech contest to see who would go to the county contest.There were six participants Kendyl, Ui Seong, Harper, Caroline, Lyneez,and Maria [me].

When the contest began I got so nervous I began sweating and didn’t even say 3/4 of my speech!It turned out I was one of the people picked to go to the county contest along with Harper and Caroline.I didn’t think I was going to win because I thought Ui Seong’s speech was better than mine,and he probably would have won if he would have said his speech louder.I’m realy glad I won and I’m going to practice my speech so I will win county and go on to regionals.
